About the role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer to help shape end-to-end product experiences from discovery through launch. Based in Lagos, you’ll partner closely with product and engineering to turn complex requirements into clear, usable flows and interfaces, while raising the bar for craft and consistency across the product. In this role, you’ll lead design work on key initiatives, influence product direction through customer insight and prototyping, and ensure solutions are practical to build and measurable after release. You’ll also contribute to design standards and mentor other designers through feedback and collaborative working sessions. This is a full-time role for someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution—comfortable moving from research synthesis and journey mapping to high-fidelity UI and design QA in fast-moving environments.

Requirements

5+ years of product design experience shipping digital products (web and/or mobile), with senior-level ownership of outcomes
Strong portfolio demonstrating problem framing, design rationale, and impact (not just final screens)
Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and a strong grasp of layout, typography, and interaction patterns
Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to break down ambiguous problems, define hypotheses, and iterate quickly based on feedback and constraints
Working knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles (e.g., color contrast, focus states, readable type)
Comfortable delivering detailed specs, states, and edge cases to support efficient engineering implementation

Preferred qualifications

Experience building or evolving a design system and establishing governance for components and patterns
Demonstrated success designing for emerging markets or high-variance device/network conditions common in Nigeria
Familiarity with product analytics and experimentation (funnels, cohorts, A/B testing) to validate UX changes
Experience mentoring designers through critiques, pairing, or structured feedback
