About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to lead our finance department in Lagos. The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, strategic financial planning, and ensuring the long-term financial health and growth of the organization. This role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record of driving financial performance and implementing robust financial controls in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in financial management, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation, specifically within the Nigerian market context. They will be instrumental in guiding financial decisions, optimizing capital structure, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and financial institutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant Master's degree highly preferred.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Head of Finance, CFO).
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial operations within the Nigerian business landscape.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital markets.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in a rapidly growing or scaling organization.
  • Proficiency with advanced financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials).
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and fundraising activities.
  • Prior experience working with international stakeholders or in a multinational environment.
